Standard locomotive and gauge 1 days
at the DB Museum Koblenz

For the ninth time, IG Spur 1 Mittelrhein is presenting a 1:32 scale modular layout at the DB Museum Koblenz.

On an area measuring approx. 45x6 m, almost 130 modules with a track length of 340 meters will be set up to form a predominantly single-track branch line in the form of a large loop with four stations. In addition, two guest modulists have been invited with their stations to support the IG with new modules to present a varied train and shunting operation with typical branch line train sets from the 60s, 70s and 80s. In addition to various freight trains, local and express passenger trains will also be used.

The Einheitsloktage will take place for the fifth time at the Koblenz-Lützel museum site. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the standard electric locomotives of the E10, E40, E41 and E50 series will be presented at and on the museum's turntable.

Locomotives will be driven onto the turntable in rotation, so that photographers will also get their money's worth.

The driver's cabs of the locomotives will be opened to interested visitors and looked after by expert club members. At the E10 Association stand, members will provide information about the locomotives, their association work and the DB Museum. The companies and clubs of the guest locomotives also have the opportunity to present themselves and their work here.

In the LOCSIM (class 110 driving simulator), visitors can “drive” a class 110 locomotive themselves. We offer cab rides on a class E10 or E40 locomotive and the museum bistro provides refreshments - housed in an InterCity dining car in proper style.
