Standard locomotive and gauge 1 days
at the DB Museum Koblenz

A milestone anniversary for all fans of large-scale model railways: for the tenth time, IG Spur 1 Mittelrhein is inviting visitors to the DB Museum in Koblenz to view its impressive 1:32 scale modular layout.<br>
What began as an ambitious project in 2015 has developed over the years into a fixture in the event calendar – and this year proudly celebrates its tenth anniversary. Visitors can look forward to a special model railway experience for the anniversary. A fascinating layout will be set up on an area of approximately 45 x 6 meters, consisting of nearly 135 lovingly designed modules with a total track length of around 320 meters. The detailed model landscape includes a double-track main line, a single-track branch line, and three authentically recreated stations that reflect the historic flair of the great railroad. To mark the anniversary, guest modelers have once again been invited to bring their own modules to enrich the layout with fresh impressions and new perspectives.

The Unity Locomotive Days are being held for the fifth time at the museum site in Koblenz-Lützel. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the E10, E40, E41, and E50 series electric locomotives will be on display at and on the museum's turntable. The locomotives will be driven onto the turntable one after the other so that photographers can get the best shots.
The locomotive cabs will be open to interested visitors, who will be looked after by knowledgeable association members. At the E10 association stand, members will provide information about the locomotives, their association work, and the DB Museum.

Young and old alike can take an illustrious ride on the passenger train. Weather permitting, the 5-inch or 7.25-inch railway will be available for rides on the turntable.
In the LOCSIM (driving simulators of various series), visitors can “drive” a locomotive themselves.
We offer cab rides on an E10 or E40 series locomotive, and the museum bistro – stylishly housed in an InterCity dining car – will take care of your physical well-being.
