The museum in Halle (Saale) has been an external site of the DB Museum since 2003. In the historic locomotive shed IV, it mainly houses Deutsche Reichsbahn locomotives from the former GDR as well as an exhibition on the region's railroad history and the Halle locomotive testing facility (VES-M Halle).
