The DB Museum Halle Season Opening marks the start of a new museum year filled with exciting experiences centered on the history of the railroad. Visitors can look forward to a varied program for the whole family—featuring technology, hands-on activities, and regional delicacies.

When is the season opening?

The DB Museum Halle reopens its doors on April 18, 2026. From this date on, the museum will be open regularly on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

• Ride-along train
• A ride costs 1.00 euro and offers a special experience for railway fans of all ages.

Technology & Insights

• Tour of the ET Mireo
• From 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., you’ll have the opportunity to tour the modern multiple unit train on Track 39 (DB Regio grounds).

Safety & Community Engagement

• The Halle (Saale) Water Rescue Service (e.V.) will display a rescue boat and also ensure safety during the event.
• Various organizations will present their work and offer insights into their involvement in technology, volunteerism, and railways.
