Nuremberg
Das neue Museumslokal
The popular Nuremberg bakery Hildes Backwut is moving into the museum with all its charm and opening the new museum restaurant “Hildes Backzug” – a place to linger, relax, and enjoy.
For over 18 years, Hildes Backwut has stood for honest baking, authentic taste, and attention to detail—true to the motto: “Well made, just like in the old days.” Now, the traditional bakery has found a new home in the DB Museum in Nuremberg, where it has created the “museum's living room.” The new museum restaurant bears the fitting name: “Hildes Backzug” – a loving combination of culinary delights and railway tradition.
Visitors can expect an inviting dining area with comfortable seating and a new play area for families. Whether for a short break, a hearty snack, or a warming meal – “Hildes Backzug” offers something for everyone.
Since August 1, Hildes Backwut has been providing you with freshly baked bread, hearty snacks, fine cakes, soups, and refreshing drinks every day.
The concept was developed by Johannes Schwarz, a trained educator and passionate baker. With his bakery in southeast Nuremberg, he fulfilled a dream 18 years ago – and has been delighting customers with quality and authenticity ever since.
Experience for yourself how a visit to the museum can turn into an all-round enjoyable day – at “Hildes Backzug,” the new culinary heart of the DB Museum.
