Experience real rail operations in miniature

500 metres of track, 80 m2 of model railway magic and a unique use of relay technology (5000 relays) make the DB Museum's historical model railway a very special experience. Specially trained traffic controllers manage up to 30 trains across the layout and demonstrate realistic train movements and shunting operations using an original signalling control panel. Modern video technology brings the action even closer. A unique, unmissable experience!

Model railway running times

Every hour from 9:30 am – 4:30 pm Tuesday to Friday, and every hour from 10:30 am – 5:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday

Please note

Due to staff shortages the operation of the model railroad
can currently only be presented very irregularly.
The model railroad showroom is open only during the presentation hours.
