The Freundeskreis Europäischer Modellbahner e. V., FREMO for short, is a model-making association with around 2,400 members and will be presenting its model railroads at the DB Museum for a weekend. On display will be a 60-metre-long arrangement of model trains from Franconian branch lines, on which scheduled operations will be simulated according to time and timetable, just like the original. A characteristic feature of the vehicles on FREMO87 is that they are equipped with true-to-scale wheelsets and original couplings as well as spring buffers. The points and usually the superstructure are also painstakingly built and designed by hand. And all on a scale of 1:87.
