Railways – The engine of industrialisation
The railway brought the industrial age to Germany, revolutionising passenger and freight transport, and creating the foundations for mobility in our modern world. Using photos, documents and objects, the pupils explore for themselves how rail transport has changed the way we live and work.

Germany's railway and the Third Reich
This workshop focuses on the role of Germany's rail company within the propaganda of the Nazi era and its involvement in the regime's crimes. Film clips, documents and objects help explain to pupils what terms such as "forced labour" and "deportation" really meant when used by Hitler and his followers.
